Civil War 3-D Theater

You haven't seen this picture until you have seen it in 3-D

and we have 79 more for you to see!

See one of the most amazing and unique historic exhibits in America. Civil War Life in 3-D is the only program of its kind in any Civil War Museum.

150 years ago a new photographic process   called the "Stereograph" hit the scene and became an instant success.   For the first time people could enjoy a true 3-dimentional experience. In the days before radio, television,   movies and computers, this media became the "Blockbuster" tm of its day.

This view of Confederate POWs is an example of an original Civil War stereo card. There are two  separate  images taken by a two-lens stereo camera, just the way your eyes work. Today we use polarized technology to project these images onto a large silver screen in our 3-D theater. The effect is stunning and must be seen to be believed. Contact Us for more information.

This program is  presented by:

The Center for Civil War Photography

and Civil War Life - The Soldier's Museum
